Nature's Patterns

I created this 4x4 with just using stamps. This is something that I never do, but I hand carved the large leaf and I had the other smaller leaf and tree stamp and just decided to put them all together. The background was created from phone book pages, metallic paint and alcohol inks.

I'VE BEEN TAGGED

by Debby to reveal 7 things about myself.

1.) Unless I know you, I don't tell people anything about myself, so I hope you all feel privileged and thank you Debby. LOL

2.) I hardly ever keep any of the art work that I create. I'd rather be surrounded by art work from others.

3.) I like to cook, but I love to bake.

4.) I'm usually willing to try something new, unless it involves sky diving. I have this aversion to heights. :o(

5.) I love most veggies, but would rather eat chocolate if given a choice. I heard somewhere that it was good for you. :o)

6.) I have at least 10 blank journals in my house and one day I hope to finish at least one. I have a passion for buying these things.

7.) I would love to live where the temperature is a constant 72 degrees.

And now I TAG the 7 following people to divulge 7 random facts about themselves on your blog and tag 7 other people. Have Fun!

Altered Matchbox

This small matchbox has a layer of Gesso under a paper towel that has been painted with liquid watercolors and applied with glue. I stamped the paper towel and added a vintage picture that has also been stamped. Sides of the matchbox are stamped with spirals, and dabs of gold paint pen have been added on all sides.

Embossed Paper Beads

These beads were made using scrapbook paper, magazine paper, and some of the paste papers that I previously made. I embossed them with gold and copper embossing powder , UTEE and some have a sprinkle of glitter added. They are sort of like potato chips and Inchies. You can't eat or make just one. These should make fun embellishments for journals, 4x4's, tags, altered books, etc.

Crazy Quilt For A Friend

My friend is learning to Crazy Quilt and asked me if I would swap with her. We decided to make 5x5 wall hangings and so this was my quilt for her, and that is a picture of her little dog. I love to use personal items when making art for friends if I have them.
